4.22 - Rocket & Bounce page 8 and the big hiatus.

Hey all! The current R&B chapter wraps up today with page 8. Hopefully you like it! Unfortunately that also means it's time to begin a hiatus. For the next couple months I'll be focusing on a needed Cranky Octopus website overhaul and various preparations for the new baby (time is flying by! Yikes!).

Angie and I will also both be focusing on our respective comics for a while and building up a backlog of pages. This should be a really good thing in the long run and most likely we'll be back in the fall, posting regularly again with new stories that are completed and ready to go. In the meantime, Kostmeyer will keep the Cranky goodness alive and well with regular continuing Vigil updates, so be sure to come back every Monday for the ongoing adventures of Vigil as well as some occasional surprises and bonus content from all three of us.

4.15 - Rocket & Bounce page 7 and upcoming hiatus.

As some of you already know my wife and I are expecting our first child this June. So not surprisingly my schedule's going to end up changing quite a bit in the near future. The current R&B chapter is actually going to wrap up probably next week with page 8 (don't worry, it'll make sense, lol). After that I'll be focusing on a needed Cranky Octopus website overhaul and various baby preparations. I'll also be working on the third Rocket & Bounce storyline and will begin making regular weekly posts again once that story is fully completed.

3.06 - Forced hiatus.

For those of you who haven't read my journal over on my Deviant Art page or seen my post on the Cranky Forum, there will unfortunately be no new Maverick and "Friends" pages for the next few weeks. This is due to a nasty hand injury I received after losing a battle with a soup can last Saturday. It's very frustrating since having my hand bandaged up makes even the simplest of tasks awkward. Sadly, drawing is out of the question. I am not sure exactly when you can expect a new page from me but I will be back as soon as the healing process allows. Apologies to all for the delay.

Rocket and Bounce's second chapter, "Growing Pains" begins today with page 1. You're probably thinking "Wait a minute? No color? Booo! Hissss!" And I agree, lol. This chapter won't be in color (for now) in order to help me keep up with the weekly updates and to hopefully get ahead of schedule. This is also an opportunity to refocus on the quality and consistency of my drawing, which has been on my mind as of late. Enjoy the second chapter just the same. It's going to be a good one!

Hello, everybody! As you can see the Cranky Octopus site is coming along and the countdown to our big debut is in full swing. Only 4 days and counting until our comics are live for the world to see... gulp. Needless to say, the three of us (Vale, Kostmeyer and myself) are excited and a tad nervous, but mostly excited!
